We respect the intellectual property rights of others and expect our users to do the same. We respond to notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512).

How to file a notice of infringement

If you believe material on our service infringes your copyright, send us a written notice (your contact information in item 4 may be an email address) that includes ALL of the following:

1. Your physical or electronic signature (or that of a person authorized to act for the copyright owner).
2. Identification of the copyrighted work you claim is infringed (or a representative list if multiple works are covered by one notice).
3. Identification of the material you claim is infringing, and information reasonably sufficient for us to find it, such as a URL.
4. Your contact information: name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
6. A statement that the information in your notice is accurate, and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on the owner's behalf.

Notices that do not substantially comply with these requirements may not be acted on.

Warning: Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), anyone who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing, or that it was removed by mistake, may be liable for damages, including costs and attorneys' fees.

What we do when we receive a valid notice

We may remove or disable access to the material identified, notify the user who provided it that we received a notice, and give them a copy of the notice. We may share your notice, including your contact information, with that user.

Counter-notification

If you believe your material was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may send us a counter-notice that includes ALL of the following:

1. Your physical or electronic signature.
2. Identification of the material that was removed or disabled and the location where it appeared before removal.
3. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification.
4. Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the judicial district where your address is located (or, if outside the United States, any judicial district where we may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who filed the original notice or their agent.

If we receive a valid counter-notice, we will forward it to the person who sent the original notice. Unless that person notifies us within 10 business days that they have filed a court action seeking to restrain the alleged infringement, we may restore the material in not less than 10 and not more than 14 business days after receiving the counter-notice.

Repeat infringers

It is our policy, in appropriate circumstances, to terminate the accounts and access of users who are repeat infringers. We track valid notices against each user, and we may terminate a user after two valid notices or sooner if the circumstances warrant.
